This internship will include a missions trip either in May or July. Please talk with Mary about options.

Cost: Must raise at least $3300.00. Encouraged to raise at least $5300.00 (If $5300 is raised, a summer stipend of $2000 is given).

Position Summary

This summer internship is geared for young adults who are ready for next level preparation for life and ministry. Cottage Ministries is seeking pioneering, missional, and action oriented individuals. Internships contain several facets that all work together to help interns grow spiritually, develop as leaders, while working and serving others.
Must possess the following
Be a born again believer who loves the Lord and follows Jesus
Humility, flexibility and teachability
Servant’s heart
Pioneering spirit
Maturity to include accountability, responsibility, and dependability
Leadership skills
Solid organizational and time management abilities
Excellent and timely communication skills - both oral and written
Have or acquire all necessary child clearances
Physical requirements
Able to lift 40-50 pounds
Able to hike and be physically active
Able to work consistently for 8-10 hours
Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in the money raised? $3300 covers the cost of the Venture trip, room and board, and training materials for the summer. If you will not be residing at Cottage North, adjustments in raising amounts will be determined. The remaining $2000 will be your stipend for the summer.
Do I get days off? Yes. This position has a non traditional schedule and hours, but there will be scheduled days off. July 4th weekend will be off.
Do I need a car? It is strongly recommended
What will we be doing?
LEARN WORK SERVE
Individual Study and group discussion and participation - Group discussions during the learning track; team evangelism; Ventures West trip; family life at Cottage North Campus
Leadership and ministry opportunities - Morning Bible reading and prayer; Sunday Fellowship nights; leadership responsibilities during events at either campus; children’s ministry; work with internationals and local rescue mission.
Work projects - one of the best lessons learned is that physical labor can have spiritual impact. Interns will work on a variety of work projects over the summer that will impact ministry at Creekside or in the community for God’s glory and the benefit of people.
Create - newsletters, social media posts and other materials
You can expect each day to look different than the day before. Some days will be filled with physical work, some will be full of ministry to internationals, other days will be more reflective and retreat like. Personal responsibilities and roles are given in specific as we start the summer and have the full team assembled. Knowing how to manage your time will be vital.
Do I have to reside at Cottage North? It is preferred that interns stay at Cottage North Campus or at the Creekside Campus. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis.
What books will be required reading? The Bible (John, Luke, Acts, and Revelation - we will also memorize around 50 verses - yes, it is possible!), What is the Gospel? by Greg Gilbert, The 3D Gospel by Jayson Georges, God’s Adventurer by Phyllis Thompson, Spiritual Multiplication in the Real World by Bob McNabb, Something Needs to Change by David Platt, Honest Evangelism by Rico Tice, George Mueller (audiobook) by Geoff and Janet Benge, one missionary biography of your choice (a list will be provided to you upon acceptance).
