Creekside Retreats

Creekside Retreats is a new undertaking by Cottage Ministries. This camp property, formally known as Camp Kiwanis, is now in a lease to buy agreement. We are thrilled with the opportunity to engage with our community, to have a place to equip young adults and serve others. We hope that Creekside will be a place where people are free to leave the weights of life at the gate and be refreshed, grow and welcomed.

Engage

It is our desire to engage with all ages here. While things are new and just getting underway, we desire to be a place that is useful in the community as a venue for family gatherings, church picnics, weddings, community days, and student programming. 

Equip

Ultimately, we desire to see students and young adults love and follow Jesus and in so doing, influence the world around them. We see Creekside as a great place for leadership training, mentoring times, and retreats/treks focused on helping students to grow. We envision younger students coming and learning about our Creator and the world He made. We want to see students of all ages, equipped to be able to stand out from the crowd, to be leaders among their peers and make a difference in their world. We believe this takes intentionality and time with older adults who are willing to invest their time, talents/skills into students.

Empower

We see Creekside as an awesome place for new leadership skills to be put into action so that they stick with them!  We see this taking shape in offering day programs for kids, community outreaches, after school/summer mentoring/tutoring and partnering with other local ministries/organizations and working together for the cause of the gospel. 

 

We have a lot to do in order to see these dreams turn into a reality and we recognize that it is truly a God-sized project. We are relying on him to provide for us in all ways. Please pray for us that God does immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine for his glory.
